Australian Superyacht Services – authorised registered fiscal agent for Special Recreational Vessel Bill 2019..!

Australian Superyacht Services is pleased to announce the passing last week of the Special Recreational Vessel Bill 2019..!

This allows foreign registered commercial superyachts to now charter in Australian waters.
This was an initiative spearheaded by Australian Superyacht Services Managing Director Captain Richard Morris when he presented to the Australian Superyacht, Marine Export & Commercial Marine Industry (ASMEX) conference in May 2012.

His presentation made to industry and government officials called on government to open up the Australian coast to foreign flagged superyachts as it had been done in Fiji and French Polynesia and consistent with Mediterranean practices. Australian Superyacht Services is at the forefront of this new development and can act as your authorised agent to issue a Superyacht Charter Licence.

Australian Superyacht Services’ offers first class agency support to cruising yachts via a network of offices in most ports throughout Australia. Agency services offered include all customs, immigration and quarantine matters, electronic crew visas, charter registration, duty free fuel, customs clearance on spare parts, freight forwarding and assistance and the reimbursement of GST (VAT) on eligible port costs, repairs, refit and sundry expenses.
